Assistant Head of Housekeeping

Generic Description of the Position:

Organization & management of the housekeeping department supporting the Head of Housekeeping.

Direct Superior:

Management, Head of Housekeeping

Direct Subordinates:

Rest of the housekeeping department

Indirect Subordinates:

Working hours:

8 hours per day between 8.00 – 16.00h, 2 days free per week

Education &/or Experience

Module &/or official Housekeeping qualification

Official qualification, diplomas & courses are highly valued

Knowledge of Ofimatic applied to hospitality

Previous experience required in hotels of similar characteristics demonstrable.

Duties related to the position

Roles & Responsibilities

Planning of tasks and their periodicity, design of work rotas, adaptation of said rotas to the standards of quality and hygiene imposed by the company and by the official Institutions in collaboration and support to the Head of Housekeeping

Control of internal and external work rotas and budgets derived from said plans.

Management of the department’s human resources, complementary training. Management and maintenance of machinery and products necessary for the performance of their tasks.

Follow up and control of the tasks carried out by your department

Stock control & direct collaboration with the head of Purchasing.

Joint planning with the Housekeeping Department and the technical services SSTT of interdependent tasks: cleaning of rooms and updating of room reporting, and resolution of reports and emergencies.
